Smittys Restaurant in Camas

This restaurant not only has some top notch wholesome diner-style American fare, but it also has a great friendly staff and legit patrons. A group of friends and I ate here on a Saturday afternoon and were blown away by the flavor and portions, but also our welcoming and personable waitress. Then during our meal we were approached by a friendly regular and finally gifted a giant (best I've ever had - and I have a sweet tooth) cinnamon bun. It was honestly one of the best 'trying a new place' times ever. I would def be back in the reg if I lived any closer.

Really good food, definitely a must try at some point in your life. The staff was great, super welcoming and down to earth. They talked and really contributed to the pleasant atmosphere here. Didn't have a wait, we were able to get right in and the food came out quick and hot which was great! I would absolutely come back when I'm in the area again!

Smitty's has amazing American homestyle food. Their burgers are incredible and their prime rib always good. The service is fast and the staff are kind and accommodating.

Horrible service. Had to wait 10 minutes to be seated then another 45 for our food to come out. I wouldn't recommend this place what so ever.

First time here. All you can eat fish and chips were ok. Took 1hour and 45 min to get 2 orders.

First time my husband and I visited Smitty's. It was a wonderful. My husband had there home made corn beef hash and eggs. I had sweet potatoe pancake. The best. We will be back!

Average to good food. Coffee weak and below average. Service above average. Nice local location. Prices average to low. Worth a try but not going to be our regular go to spot. Factory food processed sausage paddies. Gravy was good but bisques rubbery and tasteless. Hash browns rehydrated potatoes and without much flavor. Someone said home cooking... maybe if they cook from a box and low quality mixes at home. It's food and fills the need but not something you crave or anything to make you want to visit again.

Where do I start...We had to bus our own table. They forgot to put the cheese on the cheeseburger. Sent it back and cook just slapped a cold slice of cheese on it. Had to ask for silverware and napkins. Coffee cup was dirty. Overheard the rude server saying, "I can't wait. I get off in half an hour!"Not like the Smitty's we used to know!

Good diner style food. The staff is friendly and the food is good. It's a nice place to go to in a small town.

Smitty's got me through finals week! Hearty breakfast, sweet & kind waitstaff, wifi & good coffee. Best hashbrowns around.

Great food very home town vibe

I like the laid back atmosphere. It's been there for many years and it shows that they care. Terrific breakfast food! Friendly staff!

First time to this restaurant and last. My husband and I ordered different breakfast meals and both our over medium eggs came out over hard. I was looking forward to dunking my toast into the runny yolk. When I flipped over my eggs the bottoms were clearly overcooked, but the green juice they were sitting in was utterly disgusting. The green juice slid under my hash browns and instantly I was disgusted and couldn't eat a thing. The server took my breakfast plate and took the meal off the bill. She did ask if I wanted something else, but I just couldn't do it. My husband looked at his eggs and the same green color was on the bottom of his eggs. The server told us the cook used the same spatula for his blueberry pancakes as the eggs. Having worked in a restaurant before I wasn't buying this excuse. Perhaps they have good food, but green eggs is not on their menu and that is what we were served

The server was the best. I never caught her name but she has short blonde hair. She was the best! Food was good at a decent price but the service is really what sells everything in a small town diner!

The nachos are GREAT!! Add are the chili cheese fries.... I've been told that the omelettes are terrible. I've never had them myself.

The chicken fried steak was Delicious!!!! I finally found a good southern style breakfast place a midst a sea of organic locally sourced whole foods restaurants!!!! I didnt love the faint smell of cat the restaurant smelled of... or the dead silence... the food Was Yummy tho!!!

While the waitress was sweet and attentive, the food was less then desirable. The scrambled eggs were barely scrambled and the home fried potatoes were al dente at best. The side of bacon which included three slices was 7$! The bathrooms were worse then a gas station. And when we went to pay the cashier added almost 20$ onto the already overpriced bill. When asked to correct it and us showing the correct calculations, he did it wrong again. Finally in the end he offered a ten dollar coupon for the next visit, sorry won’t be coming back. In all not impressed, especially when we love keeping money local!

Decent food, great waitress

Great Food at Great Prices. The service is Absolutely Amazing. Love the down to earth feel of this place with good old music playing in the background. Highly recommend.

Regular diner, always has very friendly wait staff. My favorite is the prime rib dip, on hoagie roll, smothered in caramelized onions and cheese.

The service is good, although the waitress doesn't seem to know what personal space is. The owner sat next to us at the bar to eat which was uncomfortable, kinda rude too whenever my mom tried to make small talk he just ignored her. He could've been more polite. Also I'm pretty sure that popcorn shrimp aren't supposed to have their tails.

There's good reason why this is one of the oldest restaurants in Camas. The service is great, generous helpings of good food and the boss is around most days so you get personal attention. A lot of the food is close to home cooked so its tasty and not so commercialized. Look for the specials at they are a great value. The Friday prime rib specials can feed a family of 4 for just $25.

Local...classic feel. Prime rib over done and tasteless in their prime rib sandwich. Super friendly and fair priced. Club sandwich looked and tasted very good. Twice fried fries were fresh and hot...but not my favorite....bring on the classic crinkle and own your restaurants age.

Home town feel. Had a simple breakfast and it was good. Service was a little slow. It would have been a 5 except for the service. Would recommend it for breakfast.
